Keeping this short and sweet: I’ve been needing a bit of a push to get Episode 1 of the Dad Doody podcast out the door. It’s been on my to-do list for several weeks, but various things keep getting in the way.
Then I came across something that gave me the push I needed: My friend Doug Kyed is hosting a March Madness bracket challenge in honor of his daughter Hallie, who passed away last year of leukemia.
I can’t do Doug’s story justice in a short podcast episode or newsletter, but you should read Doug’s column in the Boston Herald and follow him on Instagram to learn more about his family.
Doug’s Hoops for Hallie bracket challenge is raising money in Hallie’s honor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The tourney pool is $25 per entry, and you can put in as many entires as you want. Half the pot goes to the winner of the pool. Half goes to the L&L Society in Hallie’s honor.

Venmo your entry fee to Doug at @Doug-Kyed.
We’ll have more content soon on both the podcast feed and the newsletter. But for now, join me in supporting a fellow New England dad for a great cause.
